To the Girl Who Always Apologized for Existing

You said “sorry” for speaking too much.
Then “sorry” for not speaking enough.
You apologized for asking questions, for needing help, for being sensitive.

Somewhere along the way, you learned that shrinking made people more comfortable
and you called that kindness.

But here’s the truth:
You were never “too much.”
You were just trying to survive in a world that only praised the quiet, the small, the easy.

πŸ’ What I Know Now:

You don’t need to apologize for having emotions.
For setting boundaries.
For not being available 24/7.

Your softness doesn’t require permission.

πŸ’¬ A Message to That Version of Me:

“You were never a burden.
You were just unprotected.

Now, I know how to speak  and stay  without guilt.”

“What am I still apologizing for that isn’t actually wrong?”

“To my 19-year-old self who burned out quietly.”

The Burnout No One Saw A Letter to My 19-Year-Old Self

At 19, I thought I had to be “fine” all the time.

I kept saying yes.
Kept pushing through.
Kept showing up  smiling, helping, performing.

But I was tired in a way sleep couldn’t fix.

No one noticed I was burned out… because I hid it well. I wore strength like a costume. I said “I’m okay” like it was a shield. And I thought needing rest made me weak.

πŸ’ What I Know Now:

Burnout isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s invisible.
It’s staying silent when your chest feels heavy.
It’s brushing your hair with shaking hands.
It’s showing up out of guilt instead of joy.

But rest? That isn’t quitting.
And softness? That isn’t weakness.
You are allowed to pause. Even when no one claps.

πŸ’¬ A Soft Message to That Version of Me:

“You didn’t fail because you got tired.
You survived in silence  and that takes strength too.
But you don’t have to do it that way anymore.
Now, we choose peace over pressure.”

“What part of me is asking for rest ,  but I keep ignoring it?”

A Letter to the Girl Who Thought She Was Falling Behind

“Where in my life am I pressuring myself to be ‘ahead’? What would it feel like to slow down there?”

Dear younger me,

You scrolled past one more post  another job announcement, another engagement, another shiny new “milestone.” And suddenly, the weight of everything you weren’t came crashing in.

You closed the app and stared at the ceiling wondering, “Why not me? Am I doing something wrong?”

But here’s what I wish someone had told you…

πŸ’Œ You’re not behind. You’re on your own timeline.

There is no clock you’re supposed to be racing.
No invisible scoreboard where you’re losing.
Some people bloom at 18. Others at 38.
You? You’re just in the planting season.

You’re not late you’re becoming.

🌱 Quiet seasons are sacred

Right now, you’re in the part no one claps for. The behind-the-scenes part. The version of the story that doesn’t get shared  the soft reset phase.

But this is where the roots grow.
This is where you build self-trust, not just results.
This is where peace becomes louder than pressure.

πŸ•Š️ You’re allowed to move slow

You don’t have to hustle your way into self-worth.
You don’t need to compare your step 3 to someone’s step 30.
You’re doing more than enough  just by showing up, again and again.

Even if it’s quiet. Even if no one sees it.

🌸 If this is you right now…

If you feel like you’re falling behind  you’re not alone.
Let today be your reminder: you’re not broken, delayed, or lazy. You’re just building a life that lasts.

And that takes time.

With love,
Your future self

How I Romanticize My Life When Everything Feels Heavy

 story time

There was a morning last winter I still remember not for anything dramatic, but because it felt so painfully ordinary.

I woke up late. My room was cold. My phone had too many notifications, and I didn’t have the energy to reply to any. I stared at the ceiling, not sad exactly, but just… empty.

I had nothing urgent to do, but I still felt guilty for not doing anything. That’s when I got up, walked to my tiny kitchen, made a cup of tea, and lit a candle I hadn’t touched in weeks.

And in that moment  with no makeup, no plan, no productivity I felt something small shift.

The flame flickered softly. The tea warmed my fingers. And I thought:

maybe today doesn’t have to be fixed. Maybe it just needs to feel gentler.

That’s the day I began romanticizing my life. Not to fake joy. But to remind myself that softness can still exist inside heaviness.

πŸ•―️ How I Romanticize My Life When Everything Feels Heavy

Some days feel like fog  not sad, but not light either. It’s easy to go numb, scrolling through everyone else’s aesthetic life. But I’ve found little ways to pull myself back in. To slow down. To find softness in the heaviness.

This isn’t about ignoring your struggles. It’s about choosing to stay present even when life feels blurry.

✨ What It Means to “Romanticize Your Life

It’s not about spending money or pretending to be happy.
It’s about looking at your life like a soft film  one where the main character (you) is healing, growing, breathing.

To romanticize is to add intention to the ordinary.

🌷 5 Tiny Ways I Romanticize My Life (When I’m Low)

1. I light a candle like it’s a ritual

Even in the middle of the day. The soft flicker reminds me there’s warmth in this world — even if it’s just on my desk.

2. I listen to piano music while folding laundry

It turns a boring task into a background scene in a healing movie.

3. I write letters I don’t send

To my past self. To the version of me that held pain I don’t carry anymore.

4. I sip tea like it’s a love language

I hold the mug with both hands and breathe into the steam.

5. I get ready  even when I’m going nowhere

Clean skin, a comfy outfit, lip balm, and perfume. I do it for the version of me I want to keep showing up as.

🧠 Why This Matters

When you treat small things with softness, you remind yourself that you're worth showing up for  even on hard days.

You don’t need a perfect life to feel magic.
You just need intention.

πŸ’Œ Final Thought

If today feels heavy — that’s okay. Add one soft detail. One candle. One deep breath. One moment where you romanticize even this.

Because this is still your story.
And it’s still beautiful.

🌸 Soft Girl Morning Routine to Start Your Day Calmly

🌸 Soft Girl Morning Routine to Start Your Day Calmly

There’s something magical about the first few hours of the day, the way the light gently filters in, the quiet before the world rushes in, and that moment you choose softness over stress. This is how I created a slow, healing morning routine that brings me back to myself, a ritual of self-love and quiet energy.

πŸ•Š Step 1: Wake Up Gently (No Alarms That Scare Your Soul)

I ditched the harsh alarm and switched to a soft melody that fades in slowly. Some mornings, I even let the sunlight wake me up. It’s not just waking up, it’s allowing yourself to arrive.

Optional Tip: Keep a silk sleep mask nearby and open your curtains just enough to let soft natural light in.

☁️ Step 2: Drink Water with Intention

Before I check my phone, I drink a full glass of water with a squeeze of lemon or a slice of cucumber. It feels like the first kind gesture of the day toward my body.

Why it helps: It resets digestion, boosts glow, and reminds you that caring for yourself starts small.

πŸ““ Step 3: 5-Minute Emotional Check-In

I open my journal and write 1–2 sentences:

  • “How do I feel today?”

  • “What do I need emotionally right now?”

No pressure. Just honest softness.

πŸ’§ Step 4: Skincare That Feels Like Therapy

I cleanse, mist, moisturize, and gently massage in my SPF. I’m not just doing skincare,  I’m reconnecting with myself through touch, care, and presence.

Soft Girl Product Picks:

  • Gentle foaming cleanser

  • Rosewater spray

  • Ceramide-rich moisturizer

  • Dewy finish SPF

🧺 Step 5: Make a Cozy Morning Drink

Oat milk matcha? Herbal tea? I take my time. I sip slowly. No phone. Just me and the warmth of a new beginning.

🎧 Step 6: Move or Sit in Stillness

Some mornings, I stretch to soft instrumental music. Other times, I sit on the floor and just breathe. What matters is that I don’t rush into the world. I meet it slowly, like a soft girl should.

🌷 Final Thoughts

A soft girl morning isn’t about perfection  it’s about reclaiming the way you start your day. It’s choosing slowness in a world that rewards speed. It’s a quiet kind of power.

Let this routine remind you: You are allowed to begin gently.

"5 Healing Habits That Helped Me Feel Like Myself Again"

🌿 There was a time I didn’t feel like myself.

Not broken, but blurred. I had lost the softness I once carried — the calm mornings, the tiny joys, the quiet strength.

Healing wasn’t loud. It came in whispers.

Little daily habits that didn’t change the world, but slowly helped me feel like me again.

Here are 5 gentle healing habits that gave me back my peace — maybe one of them will speak to your heart, too.

1. πŸ•Š Morning Silence Before Screens

I stopped reaching for my phone first thing in the morning.

Instead, I sat up, opened the window, and just breathed. No music, no talking, no to-do list. Just air and light.

It felt like meeting myself again — before the noise of the day could tell me who I was.

2. πŸ““ Journaling Without Pressure

Not full pages. Sometimes, just one sentence.

"Today felt heavy."

"I want peace more than I want people."

Journaling gave my feelings a home. And that home became healing.

3. πŸ’§ Skincare as a Love Language

I turned my skincare routine into a ritual.

Cleansing gently. Massaging moisturizer in like I was taking care of something delicate — myself.

It wasn’t about “clear skin.” It was about kindness in the mirror.

4. πŸ•― Lighting a Candle for No Reason

One small flame in a quiet room changed everything.

It reminded me that peace doesn’t always need big moments.

Sometimes, beauty is a flicker in the stillness.

5. πŸ’€ Saying No (Even When It Feels Uncomfortable)

I stopped saying “yes” to things that drained me.

Even if it made others question me.

Because healing isn’t about pleasing everyone — it’s about protecting your own energy.

πŸ’Œ Final Thought:

You don’t need to do all 5.

Even one gentle habit — done with love — can begin your soft reset.

This space is for you. A reminder that even if you feel lost… you can always come back to yourself.

🧑 What’s your soft healing habit?

Share it in the comments or DM me on Instagram @softresetbyrameen.

I’d love to hear how you are healing — gently, quietly, honestly.

To the Girl Hiding Under the Covers: You’re Not Behind. You’re Healing.

Some days, even getting out of bed feels impossible. The weight of the world is too much, your heart too full, your body too tired. And ...
